See Melbourne From a Hot Air Balloon!

A few weeks ago, we blogged about our great Girls Day Out tour, perfect for Mother’s Day, girlie birthdays, or hen parties. If getting some pampering at the hot springs appeals to you but you want to feel a little more adventurous, why not take our Melbourne Balloon Flight and Peninsula Hot Springs tour? This trip runs every Friday and is an extension of our Peninsula Hot Springs Shuttle, which runs Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Balloon Ride at Sunrise

Hot Air Balloon Basket in Flight

There really is no time better than sunrise to see our beautiful city, and this tour is not one for people who enjoy a lie-in… You need to be at the pickup point an hour before sunrise. Join in with firing up the balloon (or watch from a distance if you prefer), and then it is ‘all aboard’ for the ascent and flight over the city. Spot all your favourite landmarks, buildings and parks, and watch the city come alive with tiny people down below.

Nervous fliers should rest assured that all our flights are run by fully accredited and award-winning balloon flight specialists Global Ballooning. For more information about your balloon flight, you can contact them directly; they have a reputation for being friendly and helpful.

Champagne Breakfast

By the time the balloon ride is over, you will have worked up quite an appetite. On this trip, we don’t just offer you any old breakfast, but a full champagne buffet breakfast at Hilton on the Park. There is a huge range of delicious treats on offer in this 5-star luxury buffet, which you can enjoy in the sleek Gallery Restaurant overlooking the gorgeous Fitzroy Gardens. After the excitement of the balloon ride, this is the perfect way to unwind before you head to the hot springs via our Melbourne on the Move shuttle bus.

Hot Springs

Once you have wined and dined at the Hilton, the shuttle bus will collect you at 10:10 and whisk you off to Peninsula Hot Springs, where you will arrive by around 11.30 a.m. Our trip includes entry into all of the wonderful bathing experiences (more than 20 of them!) and you are given a full three hours to explore. Whether you prefer to chat in a friendly group at one of the baths or find your own secluded spot, you are bound to have a brilliant morning here. An award-winning Victoria resort, Peninsula really offers a global experience with baths inspired by international practices, such as the Turkish Hamam. Have a look at the menu of services on their website if you’d like to decide what to visit before you go. Although they aren’t included, you can choose to add a treatment in to your trip if you like, such as a massage or facial.
